A Year of Suffering: Syria’s Minorities Tell Their Stories at European Parliament
An international conference entitled “Syria, One Year After: The Situation of Minorities” was organized on January 28th in the European Parliament by the European Association for The Defense of Minorities and Empower Women Media. The event brought together more than 7 Members of the European Parliament from the Women’s Rights and Foreign Affairs committees to address the urgent humanitarian crisis facing Syria’s minority communities.

Brussels Raises Its Voice for Iran: Why Silence Is No Longer an Option
A thousand people gathered today in Brussels in a powerful display of solidarity with the people of Iran, assembling in front of the Iranian embassy to demand immediate action from EU governments to stop human rights abuses and executions in Iran. The rally brought together journalists, human rights activists, politicians, and representatives from the Jewish community in Belgium, all united in support of the Iranian population’s struggle for freedom.
